Tuesdays 3:30pm – 5:30pm – Local Canvassing (schedule at the bottom of the page)

Saturdays 11am – 1pm – Local Canvassing (schedule at the bottom of the page)

Local canvassing involves small teams heading out to connect with local residents on local issues and canvass Labour support.  These will be in a different location each time to be advised a few days beforehand by e-mail, here and on our social media.

Reading West is now on the list of key marginal target seats, so once a month Labour activists from across the South East will be coming to boost Reading campaigning efforts and help us achieve the aim of unseating incumbent Tory Alok Sharma.

Reading and District Labour Party – All Members Meeting – 14th December, 8pm

The All Members meetings are a great place to meet Labour members from across Reading East and Reading West, hear from our Reading MP, Matt Rodda, debate policy (sometimes), hear from our executive committee and put forward and vote on motions.  The meetings are held in the Council Chamber of Reading District Council, in the Council offices on Bridge Street.  You should be recieving regualr e-mails from the Secretary of RDLP, if you are not and wish to, please contact Alison Foster (Secretary) Reading & District Labour Party .

Left Leaning Comedy Night – TBC

We are in the process of planning a comedy evening, to be held at the George Hotel in Pangbourne, which should be a fun and informal event and a great opportunity to get to know each other better.  Please check back soon for details!

Canvassing rounds have been divided into approximately 150 households per round, with the same round being repeated twice, at different times of the week to contact as many residents.  Our more experienced campaigners will lead each round but will need help from several volunteers.  This pattern should enable us to knock on every door within our wards over a two year period (not including the rounds which would be covered by the monthly mass canvasses).

Please contact Roger Sym (07714 347 960, to volunteer for those rounds you are able to come along and help with.
